This is a small restaurant and the staff went out of their way to accommodate our group of 6 (Thank you!). Delicious ramen and Asian tapas! Our family ordered a variety of items with the Gin ramen and red curry ramen being our favorites. The latter reminded me a bit of tom yum. We also loved the pork buns and chicken satay along with the weekly special at the time which was unagi donburri. Everything was delicious. If you have never tried ramen before and are in the area this is the place the try it at!

My homegirl and I both had the day off on Thursday, March 27, so we made a little adventure out of it. After running a few errands and working up a serious appetite, we stumbled upon Gin Ramen — and let me just say, this spot understood the assignment. We arrived around 1:45 PM (they close at 2:30) and were seated immediately. The place was empty, which made for a peaceful, unhurried dining experience. And y’all...the decor is a vibe. Think modern zen with a splash of Tokyo street style. There are soft white paper lanterns floating from the ceiling, emerald green tufted booths, warm wood accents, bold blue curtains with white cranes, and a bar lit by oversized lanterns with Japanese script. Up front, shelves of neon and gold lucky cats add a playful charm. It’s clean, cozy, and completely Instagram-worthy. Our server, Win, was soft-spoken but super knowledgeable about the menu — every single thing he recommended was a winner. We started with the Bang Bang Shrimp (11) — crispy, saucy, and topped with microgreens and chili threads for that chef’s kiss of flavor. One of the best shrimp appetizers I’ve had in a while. For drinks, I ordered the Thai Iced Tea with Boba (6) — sweet, creamy perfection. My friend had the Yuzu Lemonade Soda (4.50) and was thoroughly impressed (which says a lot — she’s a picky Virgo, if you know you know). For entrees, I had the Vegan Curry Ramen (18) and my friend got the Gin Ramen (19). My vegan curry ramen had such a rich, flavorful broth that I legit forgot it was vegan. I was halfway through the bowl wondering who made it so I could thank them personally. My only wish? A few more mushrooms — that would’ve sealed the deal. My friend said her ramen had a deep, savory pork broth that was elevated by the chili oil, sweet corn, jammy egg, and chashu. She enjoyed it and even left a bit of broth behind — but only because she was saving room for dessert. And yes, we made room for dessert. We shared the Croissant Bread Pudding (9) — served warm with a creamy sauce, juicy raisins, fresh blackberries, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was divine. Who knew a croissant could be so dessert-worthy? Our total was 76.02, and I’d happily spend it again. The food, service, ambiance — all unmatched. Whether you’re a ramen lover or just looking for a cozy, stylish spot with great service, Gin Ramen is a must. Can’t wait to go back!

Stopped in later on the evening on the weekend with my teen daughter and sister. Welcomed by a friendly hostess and a wall of green happy cats, we found the place cozy. There was a great drink menu, and other non-ramen options so there was a good variety available. Also, a great bonus, this place sells broth to go on their sides menu!

My husband and I love Gin Ramen & Asian Tapas. My go-to is the Karaage Ramen and my husband’s is the Spicy Miso Ramen. Any of their ramens are delicious though! I had the Taro Bubble Tea and he had the Thai Ice Tea. The Taro Bubble Tea was a little too sweet for my liking but it was still good. My husband loved his Thai tea. Great service & I love the details of the environment. Definitely recommend them!

A Hidden Gem for Ramen Lovers! I recently visited this amazing ramen shop, and I can't stop raving about it! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a casual meal. I started with their frozen slushies: the Goldmine was a delightful surprise, and the Yuzu Lemon was refreshingly zesty—both were perfect for the warm day! For my main, I opted for the *Shoyu Vegan Ramen with corn added, and it was absolutely delicious! The broth was rich and flavorful, and the corn added a nice sweetness. My best friend had the Takoyaki —crispy on the outside and tender inside, with just the right amount of sauce. The Kani Bao Bun was another highlight; it was soft, fluffy, and packed with flavor. Overall, this ramen shop exceeded my expectations! I can't wait to come back and try more of their fantastic menu. Highly recommend!

Had dinner here and I enjoyed the experience. Had to return the pork belly bao bun because we thought the glaze was way too sweet, but other than that, we truly enjoyed everything else, and we would definitely return.

Some of the best happy hour specials for quality of food you’re getting in Alexandria! Had the Gin Ramen and Red Curry Ramen (slightly sweet broth on this one).

Simply amazing! Our waitress was very knowledgeable of every item and made sure to check on us often. She was such a sweetheart. The place has a small yet cozy feel! The food was absolutely fulfilling! My son had the Gin Ramen and I had the Veggie Ramen but with most of the items from the Gin Ramen (except the meat) added. It was some of the best ramen I’ve ever had. We also had the bang bang shrimp and the shrimp steamed buns. I had the Giesha Drink which started off clear but as you stir it turns to a shimmery lavender color. I was so full after I left! And the price point was definitely worth it. I will definitely be back!
